    In Edmonton, they pride themselves on the development and promotion of Gaelic football and the Irish culture in thier city.

    There are 4 Edmonton league men’s teams, 2 men’s and 2 women’s teams that compete around the Alberta scene, and a men and women’s select side which competes in the Canadian Western Divisional Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (G.A.A.). An Edmonton Youth program is currently being developed.

    CALGARY KANGAROOS AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL CLUB

    Aussie Rules is the biggest & most exciting sport played in Australia. No, it's not Rugby. Aussie Rules is a mix of skills from sports such as soccer, Canadian Football, & Gaelic Football, and its played right here in Calgary every summer.

    VANCOUVER GAELIC FOOTBALL

    The Vancouver Gaelic Football tournament will take place July 31- Aug 1, 2004. They are going for a new approach this year. They have gained access to two fields at softball city in south Surrey. The event will be co-hosted with The Irish Club of White Rock who have a club house within ten minutes of the fields in which there will be access to for a dinner/dance on the Saturday night. The hope is for an excellent social and competitive weekend of football and encourage all to participate.

    If you are in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland of BC, their men's and women's gaelic football teams will be training every Friday evening, 6:30pm at John Hendry Park at Trout Lake throughout the summer.
